GRAND PRIZE: WILLIAM EVANS .500 NITRO EXPRESS BOXLOCK DOUBLE RIFLE ⎮The Grand Prize winner will receive a classic vintage British .500 Nitro Express boxlock double rifle built by William Evans. This rifle is ready for it's next safari. It features  a color case hardened action and grip cap that is fully engraved with fine English scrollwork. nitre blued screws, pins, and triggers. Rust bluing on the barrels, trigger guard, and top lever.  Maker's name is gold inlayed into the top rib and receiver. Serial number is gold inlayed in the trigger guard. Gold oval in the stock line. Leather covered 1" recoil pad. Exquisite English walnut stock with a deep red hue. 24 LPI point pattern checkering with a mullered border. Regulated with 570 grain Kynoch ammo. 

The metal work is in near perfect condition. There's a few scratches in the stock from its last Cape buffalo hunt in Tanzania, but otherwise is in great condition. The ejectors work flawlessly. 

The rifles weighs 12lbs, sports 25” barrels, and a LOP of 14 3/4" at the front trigger, and 13 15/16" at the rear, with a drop at comb of 1 3/8”, and drop at heal of 2 1/4”.

The mission of the Foundation is to promote and preserve, through education, the skills, knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the art of fine gunmaking and its related crafts.
